Service: Hotline
Description:

  • Hotline staffed by nurses, physicians, pharmacists and other poison specialists.  
  • The hotline provides treatment for human poisons from any source, skin exposures, ingestions, foods, stings and bites.
  • Free and confidential poison prevention advice and treatment recommendations via toll free hotline.

At the Alternate phone # above are administrative services about poison.

  • Presentations/events, educational materials available
  • Website contains: home safety tips, first aid tips, poison hazards, info on the latest food recalls, links to the FDA and the CDC, medicine disposal guidelines, educational games for kids, IL EPA's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program, also in Spanish.
